Chemline (St. Louis, Mo.) announced the availability of its CHEMTHANE 7050 spray-applied polyurea "hard coating"designed to protect Styrofoam or expanded polystyrene (EPS) architectural shapes from impact and the effects of nature. It features a 3,000 psi/20.5 MPa tensile strength, 67 shore A hardness and 40 percent elongation. Along with impact protection, the coating provides protection against thermal expansion and water intrusion, the company reports.
