Binks (Glendale Heights, Ill., USA) has announced it new Century FRP equipment platform, featuring the Century resin and catalyst pump and a choice of MACT (Maximum Achievable Control Technologies)-compliant Binks Century spray guns that offer NARA (Non-Atomizing Resin Application) and LEL (Low Emissions Laminator) technologies. Binks Century guns have been tested and proven to emit monomer at or below the levels predicted in equations per U.S. Environmental Protection Administration guidelines. Binks Century LEL spray guns are available in multiple configurations including external mix gel coat, external mix chopper and a new internal mix wet out. All guns feature one-touch flush for ease of cleaning, along with a cartridge needle and seat assembly that changes out in less than five minutes. The Century resin and catalyst pump's AX motor has a magnetic detent that reportedly operates stall-free and can run without lubrication. Quick-connect couplings and adapter plate mounting of subs makes change-out fast and easy.
