Composite Essential Materials LLC (CEM, Port St. Lucie, FL, US) has launched new fire-retardant, light-weight, high-impact honeycomb panels that have gained Class 1 ASTM E84 approval. The panel, says the company, is rot-proof and thermal-fused, surface to core. In addition, CEM can create a Class 5 surface to meet strict cosmetic requirements. Panels are 3m wide by continuous length, with a surface that can be coated, primed or painted. CEM says the panel is well-suited for building and construction, marine, wind and transportation applications.
