YLA Inc. (Benicia, Calif.) has introduced three new adhesive films suitable for use in satellite, aerospace and defense, commercial aircraft, industrial, consumer and sporting applications: RS-4A polycarbonate film adhesive was developed to provide maximum bonding compatibility and adhesion for core/skin structures and has been evaluated and qualified for application in satellite, airframe/missile and dielectric structures. RS-15H epoxy film adhesive, also developed for adhesion of core/skin structures, has been evaluated and qualified in areas ranging from marine to aerospace and dielectric structures. RS-41 cyanate ester film adhesive reportedly replaces BMI-based adhesives where the problem of galvanic corrosion exists, and it exhibits good laminate/laminate and core/faceskin bonding performance.
