Dassault Systémes’ (Paris, France and Providence, R.I.) Isight and Fiper 3.5, the first new releases of these software solutions since SIMULIA’s acquisition of Engineous Software, are said to help manufacturers improve the efficiency with which design parameters can be optimized. Isight 3.5 (formerly iSIGHT-FD) is an open desktop solution for simulating process flows. It interconnects commercial software to automate the exploration of design alternatives. Isight includes advanced engineering techniques, such as optimization, Design for Six Sigma, approximation methodologies and Design of Experiments. Fiper, an add-on product to Isight, enables users to share Isight simulation process flows, distribute and parallelize their execution across available compute resources, and share multidisciplinary simulation results. Fiper can be accessed directly from Isight or from a Web interface. Other features include new 64-bit native support for complex and larger models; and an advanced search capability in Isight helps find any component, parameter or file in a simulation process flow.
