VISTAGY Inc. (Waltham, Mass., U.S.A.) has released EnCapta 3.0 software, which enables engineers working with computer-aided-design (CAD) systems to transform the geometric digital model into a complete digital product definition that includes essential nongeometric information. The latest release of EnCapta has new features, including customized viewing and authoring for complex assemblies, enhanced file export capabilities, augmented "Help" capabilities (including hyperlinks to external documents), enhanced ability to customize the user interface, support for interfacing with Web services, and tools for managing relationships between complex engineering data. The enhancements make the software simpler to use as well as making it a better-specialized design tool, says the company. It also is designed to support complex product structures and custom configurations common to highly engineered products
