Gurit (Newport, Isle of Wight, U.K.) has launched a new suite of composite materials developed especially to meet the rapidly growing demand from automotive manufacturers and suppliers. SC 110 cosmetic carbon fiber prepreg is designed to offer ultrahigh clarity for cosmetic components. It exhibits no whitewash or spots, which helps reduce scrap. SE 200 structural epoxy prepreg is a toughened prepreg with reportedly excellent hot/wet performance plus fast and flexible curing options. PN 901 high-Tg prepreg is a cyanate ester-based material designed for components that are exposed to high temperatures for short durations. It also offers a flexible cure cycle.
