Cook Composites and Polymers’ (Kansas City, Mo.) Epovia corrosion-resistant vinyl ester resins are designed for use in fabricating industrial equipment and structures and are said to provide a significantly enhanced defense against various kinds of corrosive chemicals when compared with many other plastics and metallic materials. Suitable for pultrusion, filament winding, compression molding, resin transfer molding (RTM) and hand lay up, the resins can be used to mold composite absorption towers, process vessels, storage tanks, pipes, hoods, scrubbers, ducting and exhaust stacks.
