Wabash MPI (Wabash, Ind.) has introduced the E-Series, the first all-electric compression molding press designed for round-the-clock performance in a lab or on the production floor. The presses are reportedly clean, quiet to operate and offer greater precision and reliability than hydraulically driven presses. Recommended for cleanroom and laboratory applications and for compression molding rubber/elastomers, gum silicones, various TPR's, thermosets and plastics, the systems feature microprocessor-based programmable control of all press functions.
