Plasticolors Inc. (Ashtabula, Ohio) has announced its full line of polyester black colorants for sheet molding compound (SMC), bulk molding compound (BMC) and pultrusion processes. The polyester black dispersions are designed with a wide assortment of characteristics to suit individual specifications. Pigments with brown or blue undertones are formulated into the dispersions, providing a unique black color appearance. Polyester blacks are available in high, low and medium viscosities. Low viscosity blacks are suitable for pumping and metering in automated systems, eliminating the need for costly handling.
