Cotronics Corp. (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has introduced a high purity, 300 ceramic paper, with a continuous service temperature of 1371°C/2500°F. It offers high-temperature stability, high dielectric strength, low specific heat, low thermal conductivity and good resistance to corrosion and thermal shock. It can be cut with ordinary hand scissors, wrapped, folded or molded around sharp corners and can form complex shapes. According to the company the paper is suitable for use as thermal, acoustical and electrical insulation, high-temperature gaskets and other high-temperature applications.
