Aerospace:

  • Out-of-autoclave (OOA) product portfolio, including CYCOM 5320-1 resin system, MTM44-1 resin system and MTM45-1 resin system. Papers are scheduled to be presented by members of Cytec’s technical organization on the benefits and recent process developments of this breakthrough technology.
  • PRISM EP2400 resin system is a single-part epoxy resin infusion system with low injection viscosity, extended pot life, low reactivity and low cure temperature. 
  • PRISM TX1100 textile system enables the use of automated processes, such as automated tape laying (ATL) or automated fiber placement (AFP), to produce resin infusion preforms. 

Automotive:

  • XMTR50 resin system, Cytec’s new two-part component epoxy resin system, was developed specifically for the high rate manufacture of components using a high-pressure resin transfer molding (HP-RTM) process, which enables the manufacture of components in three minutes at 120°C/250°F for a 135°C/275°F Tg.
  • MTM 23 resin system, the industry's first application of a volatile-organic compound (VOC)-free thermoset vinyl hybrid resin woven glass-reinforced prepreg, enables the manufacture of parts by press molding in five minutes or less.
  • Cytec's automation manufacturing technology developments demonstrate the cost effectiveness of serial automotive manufacturing through a repeatable and robust automation process while using rapid cure materials.

Tooling:

  • CYFORM epoxy prepreg, DURATOOL BMI prepreg, LTM epoxy prepreg, DForm prepreg.
  • CB1100 tooling block is a high-grade ceramic block material of low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) that can be used as a high accuracy master model or as direct tooling for low-volume or prototype production. Compatible ancillaries including custom-formulated, fully compatible adhesive, ceramic micro-sealer and surface primer products are also available.

Process Materials:

  • For aerospace, STRETCH-VAC 6000 high temperature vacuum bagging film (up to 215°C/420°F), DRYPACK 3600  innovative moisture barrier bagging film for prepregs, VAC PAK E7760W high-modulus and high-temperature release film (up to 204°C/400°F) and QUICKDRAW HS8171 embossed high-temperature vacuum bagging film (up to 204°C/400°F).
  • For infusion processing, VACFILM 350R vacuum bagging film, A100PSI peel ply, VMS2 resin infusion processing vacuum barrier line and INFUPLY release and infusion mesh.
