CIMSystem (Milan, Italy) has released six new plug-ins for the NURBS 3-D modeler Rhinoceros 4.0. The plug-ins, called Bamboo, Rave, Drill Matrix, Mosaix, Shot and ElectrodeX, prepare Rhino 3-D models for CAM operations. Bamboo is an application for tool path generation with different technologies, including wire EDM, laser cut, oxygen-flame cut or waterjet cut. Rave is a raster-to-vector converter. Drill Matrix automates arrangement of a series of holes over a rectangular or rhombus-shaped matrix. Mosaix is nesting software that provides layout optimization of 2-D and 3-D geometries on many shapes and materials. Shot offers commands for drawing, modifying and importing 2-D or 3-D drawings of any complexity. ElectrodeX creates electrodes.
