Airtech Advanced Materials Group (Huntington Beach, Calif.) has introduced new Stretchlon 350-HT (high temperature) bagging films, part of the Stretchlon family for vacuum infusion applications. Designed for use with all standard epoxy resin systems (not recommended for polyesters and vinyl esters), the films feature high elongation (some films, more than 500 percent), making them suitable for ply compaction over tools that have complex contours. The products reportedly retain their flexibility in low-humidity environments and have tensile strength of 62 MPa and a maximum use temperature of 162°C/324°F (higher than the company’s Stretchlon 200 product).
