The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG, Oxford, U.K.) has expanded its NAG C Library, the largest commercially available collection of numerical algorithms for C and C++ software used for composites engineering application development. The new library includes more than 150 added functions for a total of more than 1,300 user-callable functions, many of which play key roles in modeling the behavior of new composite materials and other types of composites in R&D programs. The latest release includes two new chapters, one devoted to wavelet transforms and the other focused on global optimization. In addition, a new subchapter has been introduced on option pricing. Moreover, enhancements have been introduced in the areas of statistics, optimization, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, regression, random numbers, sorting and special functions.
