Huntsman Advanced Materials (East Lansing, Mich.) has assembled a new line of products from its Araldite, Epibond and Epocast lines, formulated for use in the construction, assembly and maintenance of interior and exterior composite components on new and existing commercial aircraft. Epibond 1590 A/B is for use on vertical and horizontal structures while Epibond 1590-3mm is a liquid shim adhesive for gap filling. Epocast 54 A/B and Epocast 1633 A/B have been approved for the repair of on-board composite components. Epocast 54 A/B is a self-exhausting resin laminating system designed for the impregnation of substrates used in aircraft interiors. Epocast 1633 A/B is a complementary low-density syntactic suitable for the repair of aircraft interior structures.
