ABAQUS (Providence, R.I.) has begun shipping Version 6.5 of its ABAQUS finite element analysis product suite, which contains more than 130 software enhancements designed to help users navigate in the program's finite element modeling environment and implement simulations that more accurately reproduce real-world behavior. It includes new developments in fracture and failure analysis and new meshing capabilities that create more appropriate element densities. In addition, users may access analysis results across computer networks, making better use of existing computer hardware.
