The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC, Bethesda, Md.) has released its ASTM ISO Standards Comparative Guide, which provides a general comparative reference of adhesive testing standards from ASTM International standards and the ISO (International Standards Organization). This study is focused on ICS field 83 (Rubber and Plastics), Section 83.180 (Adhesives) within the overall ISO structure. The guide is limited to general adhesive testing methods and does not purport to address adhesive testing methodologies that may be inherent in the overall standards of/for specific industries or applications such as building materials, furniture, footwear or others.
