The 1130 lb/512.6 kg unit combines cast-iron construction with a 4,500-rpm, 1.5-hp spindle, making it suitable for short-run and prototyping applications. The bed-mill-style device can cut iron, steel, titanium and chromium alloys, such as 300- or 400-series stainless. Other features include dovetail ways and ground ballscrews, a 15-point lubrication system, full bellows covers and a 33.5-inch by 9.5-inch (850-mm by 231-mm) table with 17 inches/432 mm of vertical clearance. Upgrades include a fourth axis, 20,000-rpm spindle, integrated stand and a quick-change tooling system. tormach.gocomp.biz/1
