Overall purpose: The American Society for Nondestructive Testing is a professional/technical association that crosses the disciplines of science, engineering and technology. Founded in 1941, ASNT is composed of members throughout the U.S. and many foreign countries. Its mission is to promote the discipline of NDT as a profession; facilitate research and the application of NDT technology; provide members with educational materials, programs, training and services for the qualification of NDT personnel; and provide a forum for information exchange.
