Webinar focuses on composite design

Noran Engineering will broadcast the second part in its webinar series focusing on finite element analysis.

Noran Engineering, Inc. (NEi, Westminster, Calif.) announced it will broadcast the second part in its webinar series that focuses on the use of finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation software at the CAD design stage. This installment entitled "Composite Analysis"is scheduled for 11:00 am Pacific Time, 2:00 pm Eastern Time on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. This webinar will cover construction of finite element models with orthotropic materials, obtaining structural analysis solutions, and the use of various tools for displaying results, in particular, visual imagery that can pinpoint problem areas down to specific plies. NEiFusion, Noran Engineering's Nastran based FEA software, will be used to illustrate key requirements of design stage simulation—ease of use with familiar CAD environment tools, associativity of CAD and FEA data for trade off studies, design validation capabilities, and results sharing between designers and analysts. Sign up for the webinar is at www.nenastran.com/webinaremail.

NEiFusion was developed by Noran Engineering to bring the benefits of virtual product test technology to the earliest stage of product development where it can have the most impact on cost, innovation, quality, and time to market. NEiFusion has features that make it a particularly suitable at the CAD design stage, among them, ease of use, Nastran power and precision, affordability, and a path to sophisticated analysis when needed.
