VienTek LLC (Warren, R.I.), a joint venture of Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas Inc. (MPS, Orlando, Fla.) and TPI Composites Inc. The company now employs more than 900 people in Ciudad, Juarez. Since its formation in 2002, VienTek has produced more than 4,000 wind turbine blades for MPS.

VienTek employs the Seemann composites resin infusion molding process (SCRIMP) to manufacture the blades, making 30m/98-ft blades for Mitsubishi’s MWT62 turbine; VienTek has begun to manufacture 45m/148-ft blades for MWT92 and MWT95 turbines.
