Thermoset composite + bacon = Bacon Bowl

The Perfect Bacon Bowl, made with a new food contact-safe thermoset composite from Citadel Plastics, can be used to cook bacon in the shape of a bowl.

Allstar Products Group (APG, Hawthorne, N.Y., USA) has introduced the Perfect Bacon Bowl, a thermoset composite bowl manufactured using the highly engineered food-safe composite called MicroPURE. The Perfect Bacon Bowl can be used to cook bacon in the shape of a bowl in which may be served eggs and or some other breakfast food.

MicroPURE is a new FDA/EU-compliant food contact-safe molding material produced by the Engineered Composites division of Citadel Plastics (West Chicago, Ill., USA).

MicroPURE products can be used in a toaster, microwave or conventional oven and are dishwasher safe. Safe at temperatures up to 400°F/204°C, MicroPURE is melamine- and BPA-free. It's injection and compression molded for APG in the U.S. and China. Citadel Plastics supplies APG’s molders MicroPURE material from compounding facilities located in West Chicago; Perrysburg, Ohio, USA; Juarez, Mexico; and Dongguan, China.
