San Diego Composites, Inc. (San Diego, Calif.) reported a record $8.46 million in sales for 2012, which is a 30 percent increase from the previous year, at their annual meeting held in Carlsbad, Calif., on March 1. The product areas with the largest contribution to sales were Missile Systems, Canisters and Containers, Space and Stable Structures, Propulsion Systems, Testing and Evaluation, Nanotechnology, and Aircraft Structures. Due to the employees' contribution to SDC's successes, SDC has funded the employee profit sharing plan for nine straight years at 15 percent. With its current backlog, SDC expects even higher sales performance in 2013.
