SPE issues call for papers, scholarships for ACCE

Abstracts are due March 27 for what has become the world's largest and most comprehensive conference on the use of composites in automotive applications.

The Automotive and Composites Divisions of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) International has issued a call for papers for the 9th annual SPE Automotive Composites Conference and Exhibition (ACCE), Sept. 15-17, 2009, at the Michigan State University Management Education Center in Troy, Mich., USA.

The conference, which has become the world’s leading automotive composites forum, will feature technical paper sessions, panel discussions, keynote speakers, networking receptions and exhibits highlighting advances in materials, processes, and applications technologies for thermoset and thermoplastic composites in a variety of ground transportation applications.   

Abstracts are due no later than March 27, 2009 and papers no later than May 29, 2009, to allow time for peer review. E-mail abstracts or papers to accepapers@speautomotive.com. The organizing committee for the ACCE also announced that it will again bestow two $2,000 scholarships for graduate-level research in polymer composites that has impact on ground transportation.
