SPE Automotive Div. to honor Frank Macher

The former Ford executive will be honored at the annual SPE Automotive Innovation Awards Gala, Nov. 20 in Lovonia, Mich.

The Automotive Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) International  has announced that it will honor Frank Macher, currently CEO and managing partner of FMAC & Associates LLC (Ann Arbor, Mich.), with its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 38th-annual SPE Automotive Innovation Awards Gala, to be held Nov. 20, 2008.

Macher, a recognized expert in strategic and business planning, advanced technologies, product development, and manufacturing processes and operations, was selected to be this year’s award recipient due to his long and distinguished career in the automotive industry managing businesses with strong plastic-component operations. He has more than 45 years’ experience in the automotive industry – 30 with Ford Motor Co., primarily in manufacturing.

This year’s SPE Automotive Innovation Awards Gala will be held at Burton Manor in Livonia, Mich.
