SPARTA Composite Products (SPARTA, San Diego, Calif.) recently delivered NLOS-LS (Non-Line-Of-Site Launch System) Precision Attack Missile (PAM) all up round (AUR) containers to Raytheon Missile Systems (Tucson, Ariz.). The transportable composite containers are a part of the NLOS-LS Container Launch Unit (CLU), which includes a missile communication system capable of precision engagement of a variety of targets at extended range, day or night. NLOS-LS PAM AUR containers were subsequently used in two successful launches and flight tests of the NLOS-LS PAM Missile. SPARTA is responsible for the design, development, qualification, production and assembly of the containers under contract to Raytheon. The containers provide missile transportation, long-term storage, combat protection and a launch platform.
