SP-High Modulus material supplied for Gulf Craft superyacht

SP-High Modulus has supplied Corecell M-Foam and engineering services to the newly launched Gulf Craft Majesty 135, a 41m superyacht to be delivered in April.

SP-High Modulus (Isle of Wight, U.K.), the marine business of Gurit, reported on March 15 that it has supplied Corecell M-Foam and engineering services to the newly launched Gulf Craft Majesty 135 superyacht.

The 41m/135-ft Majesty 135 is the largest Majesty Yacht ever built by the United Arab Emirates-based Gulf Craft. The boat has been built to order with emphasis on comfort. The construction incorporates SP-High Modulus’ Corecell M-Foam, which was chosen due to its high-temperature tolerance, no outgassing, high elongation and toughness and its Bureau Veritas (BV) and Registro Italiano Navale (RINA) approval certification.

Alongside supplying Corecell, SP-High Modulus also supported Gulf Craft on the engineering for the project. SP-High Modulus has a long experience in the superyacht market supplying a number of boatbuilders globally with both materials and engineering services. Successful sea trials of the Majesty 135 have now been conducted and the handover of the yacht to the customer is scheduled for April 2012.

Gulf Craft, which is celebrating its 30th year, is a global manufacturer of luxury yachts with an annual production capacity of around 500 boats. SP-High Modulus has been working with Gulf Craft for almost 10 years and has supplied materials and engineering to other boats in the Majesty range, including the 121 and the 125.

Rudy Jurg, sales technician at SP-High Modulus, says, “We are delighted to see the Majesty 135 project completed and on the water. We would also like to congratulate Gulf Craft on their 30 years in business and we look forward to continuing to work with them on their future projects.”
