A preliminary schedule has been published for the 10th-annual SPE Automotive Composites Conference & Exhibition (ACCE), which will be held at the Michigan State University Management Center, Sept. 15-16, 2010.

The event's schedule can be accessed at speautomotive.com/comp, and will be updated periodically (as changes come in) between now and the start of the conference.

During our two-day show, organizations will be discussing new nanoparticles, new processing breakthroughs (for thermoplastic and thermoset matrices), new types of prepreg materials, ways to obtain more accurate virtual-prototyping results, a collaborative program to design and develop a structural composite underbody, and more.

Keynote speakers include representatives from Lamborghini, Bentley Motors, McLaren Automotive, CSM Worldwide, e-Xstream Engineering, and Dessault Systems. A new session, called Composites: Business Trends & Technologies, will help address some of the larger issues confronting the industry, including finding government funding to drive materials innovation, and understanding potential legal ramifications when using composites in vehicle designs.
