SAMPE announces new Executive Cabinet

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering's 2013-2014 North America Executive Cabinet was elected by the SAMPE Board of Director’s, individuals who represent the members of SAMPE’s 25 North American Chapters.

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) announced on July 11 its 2013-2014 North America Executive Cabinet. The Cabinet is elected by the SAMPE board of directors, individuals who represent the members of SAMPE’s 25 North American Chapters. SAMPE’s Executive Cabinet consists of officers that oversee yearly operations and long-term planning for the Society.

Those who will serve on the SAMPE Executive Cabinet for 2013-2014 are as follows:

  • President – Paul Wienhold, principal professional staff, Johns Hopkins University (Laurel, Md.)
  • Executive Vice President – Ted Lynch, president, Strategic Marketing Innovations Inc. (Washington, D.C.)
  • Vice President – Dr. Nicholas Gianaris, executive director, Composite Vehicle Research Center (Lansing, Mich.), and a professor at Michigan State University (Troy, Mich.)
  • Secretary – Rick Willardson, senior mechanical engineer, Dell Innovation Services (Peoria, Ill.)
  • Treasurer – Ben Dietsch, lead engineer, composites technology, GE Aviation (Cincinnati, Ohio)
  • Immediate Past-President - Dr. Kate Thorp, program manager, Air Force Research Laboratory (Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio)

 

In the year ahead, these individuals will oversee SAMPE’s two largest North American Conferences: SAMPE Tech, Oct. 21-24, 2013 in Wichita, Kan.; and SAMPE Tech, June 3-5, 2014 in Seattle, Wash.
