Title: Sales & Marketing Director - Fiberglass

Location: New York State

Description: The Sales and Marketing Manager will develop and implement sales and marketing strategy. Direct and manage sales force to achieve sales and profit goals. Monitor and analyze sales and marketing activity against goals. Provide leadership and coordination of company sales and marketing functions.

Industries of focus will include: Composites, Marine, Transportation, Corrosion, Textiles, Chemicals

Essential Functions

  • Establish short and long term sales strategies.
  • Direct and manage sales force to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Research and develop strategies and plans that identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing and new project development. Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business for the company.
  • Provide management with key sales information as a member of the company's senior management.
  • Review and analyze sales performance against programs and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Analyze demographics and determine appropriate manpower requirements.
  • Design, recommend and coordinate sales and marketing programs. Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials.

General Expectations

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of company's and competitor's products, sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.
  • Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
  • Promote positive relations with partners, vendors and distributors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is required. MBA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a business-to-business sales role in the Composites or Technical Materials industries. Sales Management experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management.
  • Knowledge of structuring sales goals and revenue expectations.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several initiatives.
