Scott Tolson, managing director of Sigmatex (Runcorn, U.K.), recently announced the following changes to the company’s U.K. management team: Tracy Smith joins Sigmatex in the new role of supply chain manager. With more than 20 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, Smith is a qualified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma techniques and will streamline processes to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Scott Murray has taken up the new role of operations manager. Murray, a 12-year veteran at Sigmatex, will work closely with Smith in ensuring current demands are met and capacity is sufficient to achieve future demands. Chris McHugh has taken over as technical manager. McHugh is responsible for the development of Sigmatex’s 3-D weaving capability and has more than 20 years of textile experience. He will head the growing technical department as Sigmatex continues to focus on developing new materials for carbon fiber composites ... Gordon Composites Inc. (Montrose, Colo.), a producer of advanced composite materials, announced on July 19 that Kevin E. Stay has joined the company as president and general manager. “We are pleased to have Kevin join our team,” said Mike Gordon, chairman of Gordon Holdings Inc. Before joining Gordon Composites, Stay was the president of two startup companies in Sparta, Wis. He holds a BS in industrial technology product development from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.
