Jacques Aschenbroich has been named president and CEO of Saint-Gobain Corp., the holding company for Compagnie de Saint-Gobain’s (Paris, France) U.S. and Canadian operations. Aschenbroich succeeds Jean-François Phelizon, who is returning to Compagnie de Saint-Gobain’s Paris headquarters … Ron Miller has been appointed VP of operations at Vermont Composites (Bennington, Vt.). Miller will manage manufacturing, purchasing, safety and quality functions … The Gurit (Wattwil, Switzerland) management team led by Jouni Heinonen has changed as of Nov. 1. Rudolf Hadorn is now CEO and Markus Knuesli is CFO. The changes are aimed at bringing Gurit back to sustainable profitability. Expansion of the company’s production sites in Canada, Spain and China have impacted earnings in the second half of the year, and the company expects to achieve a negative operational EBIT for the second half of 2007.
