Oxeon expands, opens U.S. office

Oxeon AB (Boras, Sweden), manufacturer of spread tow carbon fiber reinforcements, on Jan. 19 announced expansion of its business with the startup of Oxeon Inc. (Spring Grove, Ill., USA) to increase its presence in North America.

The new U.S. office will be staffed by Jim Glaser, sales manager - North America. Glaser is a veteran in the composites industry with experience from many different sectors.

Henrik Blycker, CEO at Oxeon, says, "This is a natural and important step for Oxeon to be able to better serve our North American customers and to further spread the knowledge about Spread Tow Fabrics and our novel technologies."

Oxeon produces spread tow tapes, TeXero and spread tow fabrics, TeXtreme, that are used to reduce weight and improve the mechanical properties of high-performance composites.
