3A Composites website now in Chinese; GRPMS will continue to distribute Ashland resins; Matrix Composites certified to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100:2004 Rev B.; Rolf Dothagen joins STRUCTeam; RH Schneidtechnik to represent Eastman Machine.

3A Composites Core Materials (Sins, Switzerland) on Oct. 22 announced the completion of the Chinese translation of its website. Under www.corematerials.3acomposites.com/asia-australia visitors can now choose Chinese as a language option to get the full content of the official website in Chinese.

GRPMS (Fareham, U.K.), a member of Umeco Composites Structural Materials, a Division of Umeco plc, has extended its agreement with Ashland Performance Materials (Columbus, Ohio, USA) to distribute Ashland's polyester, vinyl ester, acrylic and phenolic resins, premium gelcoats and low-profile additives to the Finnish composites market. The agreement, which took effect Oct. 1, extends an existing partnership covering the distribution of products throughout the U.K., Scandinavia and Estonia.

Matrix Composites (Rockledge, Fla., USA) announced that it has been certified to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100:2004 Rev B. Perry Johnson Registrars Inc. certified conformance to the AS9100 standards following a comprehensive assessment of the company’s quality management system and operations supporting the design, development, fabrication, and assembly of precision composite structures.

STRUCTeam Ltd. (Southampton, U.K.) announced that Rolf Dothagen, the former managing director of SGL epo GmbH, has bought into STRUCTeam Ltd., taking a minority share, as well as taking up the role of business development director. Rolf brings his considerable experience in composite conversion processes to the company that will contribute to the Material Engineering activities established at STRUCTeam by James Austin.

Eastman Machine Co. (Buffalo, N.Y., USA), has appointed RH Schneidtechnik (Solingen, Germany), to represent its line of automated cutting systems, material handling equipment and design software. RH Schneidtechnik specializes in cutting technologies, applications and engineering consultation for the composites, technical textile and apparel industries. RH Schneidtechnik's central European location is expected to enhance Eastman's sales, service and support network for new and existing customers throughout Germany, Switzerland, Austria and The Netherlands. Eastman and RH Schneidtechnik will coordinate efforts to establish a demonstration showroom and technical service support center servicing all European customers by the end of 2011.
