TenCate Advanced Armor names Mark Edwards president of North American operations; TP Composites adds two new compounding extruders

TenCate Advanced Armor (Newark, Ohio, USA) has named Mark Edwards president of North American operations. Edwards was previously with Force Protection Inc. where, as executive vice president, he and his team helped Force Protection become an important market leader. Edwards also served as vice president of operations at Ducommun where he was responsible for all aerostructure manufacturing for Boeing C-17, Chinook and Sikorsky Blackhawk/Naval Hawk helicopter programs.

Custom engineered thermoplastics compounder TP Composites Inc. (Aston, Pa., USA) is adding two new compounding extrusion lines at its facility in Aston. Dr. Cliff Watkins, sales, marketing & technology director, said, “These two new lines, which we are targeting for start-up in May and August, will help us get our lead times reduced as well as complement our manufacturing capability in medical-grade and highly filled products.” One of the new lines on order is a twin-screw machine from Coperion- the other is a single-screw extruder.
