Beckwood Press Co. (St. Louis, Mo.) has announced the launch of its new hydraulic press website, located at www.beckwoodpress.com The site includes new sections dedicated to hydraulic press technology and information on specific applications. Additional sections have been added to include the company’s off-center loading technology center, compression molding technology center, a technical information page related to Beckwood’s Active Leveling Control (ALC) system along with a new display of press experiences.

Cirrus Design Corp. (Duluth, Minn.) a manufacturer of personal aircraft, has appointed David Glorius as senior vice president, sales. Glorius will play a major role in sustaining sales momentum in the domestic market as well as focus on Cirrus’ continued international expansion by helping grow the brand and sales worldwide. Prior to his work at Cirrus, Glorius served in various capacities with DaimlerChrysler Canada, DaimlerChrysler International, and Chrysler Corp.

Fluid Research Corp. (Tustin, Calif.) has unveiled a new logo and website, www.fluidresearch.com. The logo revision creates stronger ties to the progressing cavity pump as well as meter, mix, and dispensing. The new website can now be accessed to both review fluid research products and as a resource for information regarding all aspects of meter, mix, dispensing, progressing cavity pumps, and other related products.

Composite materials supplier Gurit (Wattwil, Switzerland) has announced on June 25 that James Austin, director business development, has decided to leave Gurit to pursue other career opportunities. Austin joined Gurit’s U.K. subsidiary in 1995 and served on a group level as COO and managing director of Gurit’s operations in Canada since 2006. In 2008, he was nominated director business development. Gurit wishes him every success in his endeavors.

X-Cell Composites (Dallas, Texas), manufacturer and processor of structural core materials, has named Sam Casto VP of sales. Jeremy Caldwell, president of X-Cell, says, “We are very fortunate to have Sam join our team. He has an extensive background in composite applications and offers our clients 17 years of hands-on sandwich construction experience.”
