Magnum Venus Plastech (MVP) was pleased to welcome attendees to their latest Comprehensive Closed Mold Training Course, held at the MVP Technology Center in Kent, Wash., Sept. 24-26, 2013.
MVP reported that attendees came from around the world to learn how they could move their production from open molding to closed molding, and see a high return on investment in a very short time.
The training consisted of a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on lab training. Attendees learned how to build a reusable vacuum bag membrane, explored the infusion process itself, and how the process can become controllabel and predictable through the use of an injection system and integrated accessories offered by MVP. On the production floor, attendees worked hands-on to create several different types of reusable membrane, and then “built” a part, from start to finish, using MVP's Flex Molding Process.
MVP emphsizes that combining classroom and hands-on experience "gives the attendee a true transfer of the technology, and confidence that they can then take back to their own production, and integrate in very little time."
“When designing Flex Molding Process, we understood that it needed to be more than just a membrane,” says MVP's VP for international sales, Joan Tracy. “We knew it needed to be the complete package of integrated technology with the injection system and unique accessories, along with the training that would allow our customers to confidently make the move into efficient closed molding in the minimum amount of time. [The] Flex Molding Process has far exceeded our expectations, as evidenced by the hundreds of customers now using this process around the world.”
The Comprehensive Closed Mold Training Course is conducted globally through the MVP distribution network, and several classes will be held at the MVP Technology Center in 2014.
