Automated fiber and tape placement machinery manufacturer MTorres (Torres de Elorz, Navarra, Spain), in an effort to show its strong commitment to support the American aerospace market, reports that it has established MTorres America. This is a strategic move by MTorres, which started in September 2012 with the acquisition of Pacifica Engineering, a company located in Bothell, Wash., USA, in which 55 people specialized in designing tooling systems for aerospace applications. Today, more than 100 American highly skilled employees, mostly engineers, work at MTorres America to locally design the company’s high-performance solutions.

Additionally, the capability to build machinery at the company's new AS9100-certified assembly and manufacturing facility in Everett, Wash., USA, provides capacity to deliver to the American customers MTorres equipment locally made. Also, MTorres America provides nationwide service and spare parts distribution out of its Washington State facilities.

MTorres America will soon set up a local research and development (R&D) team to develop new and specific solutions for the American customers’ particular needs.
