Moldmaking expo focuses on tooling, additive manufacturing

Gardner Business Media Inc. has announced amerimold 2012, and exposition and conference emphasizing technologies and products for moldmaking and additive manufacting. It will be held June 13-14 at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mich., USA.

Conference highlights include keynotes by Joe Gibbs Racing and ROUSH Performance Products and focused sessions on mold manufacturing and additive manufacturing technologies.  

Additive manufacturing sessions feature leaders from xlaFORM, Vista Technologies, RapidTech and Innovative Medical Device Solutions (IMDS), presenting topics including 3-D printing, advanced materials, conformal cooling and the future of rapid product development.

Mold manufacturing sessions will focus on product and process technologies impacting all aspects of a mold’s lifecycle. Specific topics include five-axis machining, mold maintenance, workforce development, business best practices and customer service.

All conference sessions are interchangeable; all conference registrants receive breakfast and lunch on both days of the show and admission to the opening night reception.

Highlighting both technical tracks will be two complementary keynote presentations that explore advanced manufacturing and rapid product development in the performance racing and automotive industries. The first keynote will be delivered by Mark Bringle, technical sponsorship and marketing director, Joe Gibbs Racing. Bringle will examine rapid product development at Joe Gibbs Racing. The second keynote will explore process innovations applied in the design and manufacture of the 2013 ROUSH Mustang. It will be presented by Gary Jurick, VP and general manager, ROUSH Performance Products.
