After 15 years in the same location, Applied Concepts Unleashed Inc. (Stuart, Fla., USA), a marine design and engineering firm founded in 1984, announced on Feb. 21 that it is moving to a new, larger facility in Stuart.
Applied Concepts designs and engineers yachts and marine components for Spencer, F&S, Garlington, Whiticar, Carolina Yachts, Makaira and dozens of other builders.
“Business has been growing steadily for the last year or so.” says Stephenson French, vice president of Applied Concepts. “Much of this growth has been from the rapid rise in demand for composite design and after-market components. We’ve always been on the front edge of composite development since the launch of the 86’ Unleashed, and now with the new Makaira line of composite sport fish yachts. The size of this new facility has allowed us to bring our composites division, Steve French Enterprises (SFE) under the same roof.”
“We’ve specialized in composite technology since our start, but now more customers seeking the types of solutions that our experience provides.” adds Steve French, the company’s founder.
The new 5000-ft2/465m2 corporate location includes a shop for the creation of SFE carbon fiber components and prototypes that can be designed and shipped worldwide.
