Composites processing equipment manufacturer Magnum Venus Products (MVP, Kent, Wash.) has changed its name to Magnum Venus Plastech, to reflect its new emphasis of resin transfer molding, resulting from the purchase of RTM equipment specialist/consultancy Plastech Thermoset Techtonics Ltd. (Gunnislake, U.K.). “We are all very energized by the possibilities presented in the merger of these companies,” says Joan Tracy, VP of marketing and international sales for MVP. The name change preserves the “MVP” brand identity adopted in September of 2000, when Magnum purchased the former Venus-Gusmer and the two companies became one as Magnum Venus Products.
