IPS Structural Adhesives acquires Holdtite Adhesives

The expanded product offering of the merged companies will include technologies in 10:1 and 1:1 methylmethacrylate, anaerobic, cyanoacrylate, and ultraviolet cure adhesives.

IPS Structural Adhesives Corp. (Durham, N.C.) announced on Oct. 18 its acquisition of Holdtite Adhesives Ltd. (Newcastle, U.K.). The product offering of the merged companies will include 10:1 and 1:1 methyl methacrylate (MMA), cyanoacrylate (CA) and ultraviolet (UV) cure adhesives. IPS plans immediate investment in Holdtite to implement manufacturing and technical service models that have proven successful in North America. IPS will adopt the information systems currently employed by Holdtite.
