Interplastic Corp.'s Thermoset Resins Division (St. Paul, Minn., USA) announced on Dec. 22 that its Fort Wright, Ky., manufacturing plant recently achieved a significant safety milestone and was presented the Governor’s Safety & Health Award.

The Fort Wright plant employees exceeded 1 million man-hours worked without a lost-time injury in September of 2009. The Governor’s Award is presented in recognition of the facilities reaching more than 250,000 man-hours without a lost-time accident or illness. It promotes greater awareness and commitment to excellence for workplace safety and health. Kentucky Secretary of Labor J.R. Gray attended a presentation at the Ft. Wright plant where he awarded the employees with their eighth consecutive Governor’s Safety and Health Award.

Interplastic's Thermoset Resins Division focuses on the production and distribution of unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester resins, gel coats, and colorants for the composites and cast polymer industries. The Molding Products Division produces sheet molding compounds and other thermoset molding materials.
