A major aerospace manufacturer has made available for sale a large quantity of unused, surplus carbon fiber prepreg in unidirectional tape and 6k plain weave format.

A major aerospace manufacturer has reported to CompositesWorld that it has available, for sale, high-quality, unused, surplus carbon fiber prepreg. It’s reportedly been properly stored in a freezer for its entire life.

Material available is unidirectional tape in widths of 0.20, 6, 12 and 24 inches (5, 152, 305, 610 mm) and rolls of 6k plain weave 38 inches (965 mm) wide. Resin matrix is 37 percent toughened epoxy, 350°F/177°C cure.
