Hexion Inc. (Columbus, OH, US) and North American Composites (NAC, Lino Lakes, MN, US), a wholly owned entity of IP Corp., have announced a distribution agreement for epoxy resins in the U.S.
NAC will represent Hexion and its extensive line of epoxy resins, curing agents and modifiers, selling primarily into the composites market. Hexion's epoxy products are used in a wide range of automotive, aerospace, wind energy, mass transit and other applications, which reportedly provides weight savings and improve fire, smoke and toxicity properties.
"NAC's extensive experience in composite applications, along with our technical sales team and commitment to customer service, are an excellent complement to Hexion's leading technology and will provide the ingredients for a successful partnership," said Mark Brost, vice president and general manager of NAC. "We've been serving the composites market for over 40 years and offer the specific application knowledge customers are seeking."
