General Plastics Manufacturing Co. (Tacoma, Wash., USA) announced on Feb. 12 that it has received a 2012 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Co. (Seattle, Wash.) presents the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. General Plastics maintained a Silver composite performance rating for quality and delivery each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2011, to Sept. 30, 2012.

This year, Boeing recognized 594 suppliers who achieved either a Gold- or Silver-level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. General Plastics is one of only 441 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition, which also confers eligibility for Supplier of the Year.

“Being honored four years in a row for outstanding achievement clearly demonstrates General Plastics’ unwavering pursuit of consistency – in both the quality of our products, and delivery of what we promise,” says president Bruce Lind. “Even after half a century of partnership, we do not take our relationship for granted.”
