First Airbus A400M delivery aircraft on final assembly line

Airbus Military reports that the first three production A400M military airlifters are on the final assembly line (FAL) in Seville, Spain. Planes are scheduled for delivery in 2013.

Airbus Military (Madrid, Spain) reported on Nov. 20 that the initial three production A400M new generation airlifters are on the final assembly line (FAL) at the Airbus facility in Seville, Spain and are on schedule for delivery in 2013.

Airbus Military issued a photo that shows MSN7 (furthest from the camera, and first to be delivered to a customer ­ France) awaiting imminent installation of its engines, alongside MSN9 (center, and the first aircraft for Turkey) and MSN8 (closest, also for France) undergoing Ground System Tests. These tests follow once the structural assembly of the aircraft has been completed.

Additionally, final assembly of MSN10, also for France, has begun at the Airbus Military facilities in Seville (Spain).
