Energetx Composites received MEGA grant from state of Michigan
Energetx will use the 15-year grant to ramp up production of nacelles and wind blades for wind turbine applications.
Energetx Composites (Holland, Mich., USA) announced on June 16 that the State of Michigan has accepted a 15-year MEGA tax credit for Energetx beginning the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2010. Energetx Composites plans to design, engineer and manufacture wind turbine blades, nacelles and spinners for use in large utility scale turbine applications.
According to Energetx Composites principal David Slikkers, “Energetx Composites is uniquely positioned to provide precision engineering and world class manufacturing capacity in an optimal geographic location to effectively supply advanced composites for the growing wind energy industry in Michigan, the Great Lakes and Internationally. ” Mr. Slikkers continues, “Capital investment is already starting and we anticipate rigorous employee selection and training activity as the wind energy industry requires; likely to start later in 2009.
