DuPont (Wilmington, Del., USA) announced on May 19 the launch of the Kevlar Innovation Awards, designed to celebrate excellence in innovation, protection and collaboration in the use of Kevlar. The awards are designed to foster innovation and collaboration in finding new ways to use Kevlar to continue improving protection technology so that more people are kept safe in more situations.
All manufacturers and innovators of products containing Kevlar are eligible to enter. A panel of independent experts will determine the winners, who will be recognized in an awards ceremony in the fall of 2011. DuPont will make a $10,000 donation on behalf of each winner to a charity or science organization from a designated list. Entries must be received by August 15, 2011.
